Guests staying in hotels or B&Bs in Lausanne benefit from the Lausanne Transport Card, provided that the city tax is paid. The transport card grants free access to public transportation within Lausanne.
The card is issued by the accommodation upon arrival and is valid from the day of arrival until the day of departure. In case of a ticket inspection on the arrival day before the card has been received, guests may present their booking confirmation together with a valid ID.In addition, the card offers various discounts on attractions, museums, and selected shops.

For getting around in Lausanne, it is best to purchase a Mobilis day or weekly pass at a Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) counter at one of the larger railway stations.
